"Do you consider lap dances cheating?"

This morning on The Bear (local Rock Station) they were asking that question. Most of the ladies called in to say yes, and all the men said no (shocker). Personally I think the answer is no because I would trust my significant other enough to do that. The hosts of the morning show figured that women are just too insecure to deal with it. Many women commented that there is something wrong in a relationship if a man wants to get a lap dance. I think that there is something wrong in the relationship if you are forbidding someone to go. I consider it entertainment. It's a 'look, don't touch' deal and hell if he wants to spend his time (and moola) hanging out at strip clubs, and it makes him happy, then fine. If you can't trust him enough to come home to you then there is something seriously wrong. Is going to the peelers cheating too?

I just thought that was an interesting discussion. Especially at 7 a.m.

Obviously a lap dance is not cheating. But that depends on the what the definition of the word "is" is.

why not bring your wife along? i wish my husband would go to strip clubs, and get the hell out of my face sometimes. i went to a strip club with a friend last year. it was fun, we just laughed at the girls, and gave them money. most of them weren't that cute. anyway, but it was fun.

Blobra's ex-wife used to go to the peelers with him all the time. My ex-wife was also a big fan of the peelers but strangely, we never went together. Might have had something to do with being underage and me not having a fake ID (she did...)

I think the women's problem with lap dances/strippers is that the perceived competition is physically present, and not on film or something, and that makes them potentially threatening. I personally feel extremely uneasy at the female strippers', mainly because none of them look like they're enjoying themselves at all.

Cheddy-pie,

Yes you and I fundamentally disagree on this one.

I would be more worried about him cheating with a chick from work....not porn. I guess I view porn differently and I don't see it in the way you do.
I bet there are a lot of women who would see it your way.

But sexually men are so visual...women are more intimate. I think that there can be a balance achieved so that nobody gets hurt.
