I was surprised to hear a Stelmach campaign ad on my radio station based on the Tories education/tuition policies. Really?
I was shocked to hear callers on the same station blather on with the same ridiculous excuses for apathy. Since when is Democracy about "other" people? Voters blame politicians, it's always "they suck", or "they do nothing". Democracy is about you. Empower yourself by getting involved!
Why is it always someone else who should run...why don't the people who bitch and moan run for office? Have we made it so undesirable? Why have politics become so esoteric that the people of this province no longer feel they can be a part of the process?
