The craziest part of Tiannemen square was the guards. There were SOOOO many guards! Not just in the square, but all over Peking (Beijing). Spooky! Another interesting thing is that in Japan, westerners are adored, whereas in China, they're shunned a little bit. We did (eventually) find an awesome bar that was more to our tastes (and more foreigner friendly) on the last night. Too bad I had to get on the plane at 8, so we shut 'er down early (about 2, I think) that night.
